Fearless Athletes and Coaches,
Currently I lead the Derbyshire Performance Programme to an International Level and Lecture Part Time at a College which also delivers University Degrees; I currently lecture on the Sport Science, Sport Coaching and Health Related Fitness Degrees. These 2 positions help me to deliver a World Class programme which is built on application of theory and experience. I am Level 3 Qualified Coach, Personal Trainer and a fully qualified Sports Lecturer.
I have a vast knowledge and experience of working with clients from Novices to Elite Athletes, educating and developing them to become knowledgeable and self-efficient in the approach to their goals and careers.
I run independent Athlete and Coaching workshops to help educate our fitness and sporting to becoming greater individuals to deliver a quality programme or a World Class performance.
Workshops I Currently Offer:
How to create an effective training plan (annual and cycles or goal orientated).
How to effectively coach and motivate Age Group, Youth and Senior Athletes.
Strength and Conditioning for different levels of Athletes.
Sport Nutrition and its importance in Performance.
How to create a suitable Diet Plan for an Athlete.
Sports Psychology and interventions to improve Performance.
How training affects the physiology of the body.
Periodization of training plans for Athletes.
Achieving a Performance Culture within a Programme.
Athletes Lifestyle – The Expectations and Realities.
All these workshops have received positive feedback for the deliver, content and impact to teams, clubs and squads; they add value to any level of experienced athlete or coach. No individual has nothing to learn, the day we believe we know it all is the day we stop developing and start being left behind!
Please contact me to requested any information or to book a workshop.
Throughout my life I have been involved in a variety of sports; I swam Nationally as an age-group and Youth swimmer; I ran Nationally qualifying for the final at 400m; I played football at a Academy level and represented Derbyshire Schools at Rugby, Basketball and Cricket giving me a good foundation of sports specific knowledge and demands.
During this time I became a qualified swimming coach, coaching for a competitive club and local authority. After completing my BSc(Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree I qualified and became a UKCC/ASA Level 3 Swimming Coach; I completed this through NOVA Centurian under the guidance of Bill Furniss (Head of British Swimming). I worked up from a Club Coach to a Performance Coach, coaching mainly in the UK but also in Australia too.
Currently I lead the Derbyshire Performance Squad and its swimmers to National and International meets. I have a very strong developmental reputation, not only in Youth swimming but also Masters (leading swimmers to European Finals and medals) and triathletes to improved swimming performance, County, Regional and National titles and placings.
